How we became what we are:

März 2003

Foundation of the “original company” hc house of competence GmbH

Günther Grassmann and Ekkehard Zamel are the first partners. Consulting for a few major customers. Main areas of expertise are strategy and organizational development.

Feb. 2004

Florian Grolman is onboarding

… as a consultant and internally also responsible for marketing topics

Move to the new website organisationsberatung.net

Development of a blog around our consulting competencies

Mai 2006

Change of name to “initio”

Enhancing our consulting portfolio. A visible expression of this is the new “initio” brand.

Die Jahre vergehen…

… we are busy.

In various major customer projects, we refine our consulting fields and further develop our models.
This also means our team is growing – currently to 30 consultants.

Februar 2017

New limited company

Silent partners have passed away, other partners are reducing their work to part-time. We are therefore dissolving the old limited company and continuing our consulting business under the name “change development GmbH”.
Florian Grolman joins as the 3rd partner and is promoted to management.

April 2017

First “Top Consultant” award

Word gets around about the quality of our consulting services.

März 2018

First Award as Germany’s “Best Consultants”

The “initio” brand continues to grow: we also achieve top marks in unprompted surveys.

August 2019

Two more partners join the company

Petra Friedlaender and Philip Dönhoff become partners and strengthen important consulting fields with their expertise.

März 2020

Expansion of our portfolio to include virtual formats

Covid was also a driver of innovation for us. We shift large parts of our consulting and customer workshops online.
A visible expression of this is the first international large group conference across all continents and (almost) all time zones in October 2020.

Agile topics determine day-to-day business

The trend towards hybrid organizational designs also drives the topic of agility among our customers. “Agile” and “high performance” therefore become further important pillars of our service portfolio.
